Morning Duty

Hi people!

Your should have known by now that morning duty will resume next week on the monday which is 3rd of August. Do take note that these well be the people who will be down for morning duty.

Wednesday - Terence and Jin Hui
Thursday - Gordon and Kenneth
Friday - Nicholas and Yong

Nicholas and Yong, i know your had did morning duties for term 2 but due to shortage of manpower, you'll have to do again this term. However, you two will definitely not be down for term 4.

Also, Kenneth and Jing Yu you two have not scanned your fingers if im not wrong. Please tell me all the times you'll be free for this week and next week so that i can arrange for the two of you to scan your fingers. For the moment, the partner please do not be late or absent. If you're going to be absent or late. Inform me or gabriel immediately in the morning. Do take note you'll have to be there to set up the mic and check the audi system. All these have to be done by 7.25am.

Pls be reminded to be at Esplande (Meet outside Concert Hall) by 1615hr for attendance taking. Do note that the LJ will end latest by 1800hr.

How to go?

~ From school, take the MRT to CITY HALL MRT Station.
~ Walk towards City Link
~ There's an exit at City Link which leads you to Esplanade

FYI, Esplanade is just directly opposite Marina Square Shopping Centre, beside the entrance of the Floating Platform which NDP is held.

If you are not sure how to go, leave school early. DO NOT be late.

Updates

Dear All

I hope that all of you had a 'great' time mugging and taking your tests for the past 1 week :)

There are somethings which we need to update you.


1. All CCAs will be suspended this week. CCAs will resume on the week 03.

2. AV Investiture this Wed, 08 July will be postponed. We'll keep you inform of the details of the investiture next week.

3. We'll be going to Esplanade for our Learning Journey on 17 July 2009. You are to report BY 1615hr at Esplanade, entrance of the Performance Theatre. We'll excuse those of you who ends lessons after 1515hr. Pls come back here for more updates. The JC is expected to end latest by 1800hr.

4. For those who are down for SC Investiture rehearsal, there will be a rehearsal on 11 July. You are to report at 0745hr at the Auditorium.

Basic Audio, Visual and Lights Proficiency Certificate Test

Dear All

In regards to the test I mentioned to all of you earlier, we've structured it in such a way that it'll be a certified test.

In order for you to achieve this cert, you have to achieve the score of 85% or above. For those of you who score below 85% you will have to take the test until you get 85%.

The test format is

35 MCQs
Cabling Questions
2/4 Essay Questions

The test will be based on

1. Audio system
2. Microphones
3. Polar Patterns
4. Video formats
5. Storage Devices for Video
6. Visualizer
7. Types of Stage Lightings
8. Cabling
9. Stage Management

The test will be on 29 April 2009. Please study the notes given to you and pass it at the very first attempt!

If you need consultation on the theory you have went thru', you may make arrangements with me. However, please come prepared with questions to ask me and not asking me to go thru' the whole topic with you.

* J2s may wish to take this test as well. Please let me know asap if you are interested so that I can prep it for you.

Test

Dear All

As mentioned to you during the debrief for Family Day, there'll be a test on the things you have learnt during the trainings within this 2 weeks. It'll be a surprised test! The passing rate will be 90%, and if you failed to meet the 90% passing rate, you will have to do the test again and again till you get more then 90% passed.

For those who were not in the Family Day duty, please take note of this as well.

You are required to learn everything during the theory lessons as well as practical sessions.

Dear All

Video Training for all J1s will start at 1500hr on 08 April 2009. Please proceed to Room 121 for Election and voting of the new exco at 1415hr. DO NOT be late for the voting. Pls report in Full School Uniform.

Video Training 11 April 2009 will commence at 0800hr, reporting time is 0755hr. The training will end by 1230hr for all except the 6 of you who are involved in the Concert Video. You will end the training by 1700hr. Please note that, this Sat, we'll filming the Choir and some gym scenes. Pls report in Half Uniform and for the 6 doing the concert video, you may wish to change to PE attire after that. Lunch will be provided for the 6 person doing the concert video.

I would like to thank everybody who has helped in the smooth running of 25th Anniversary Run and Family Day on 05 April 2009. Without all of you, the event will not be as smooth as it's today.

For all those of you who were caught in the rain, please take good care of yourself, bathe right away when you are home, have a good rest after that.

Special thanks also goes to Zhuyun and Yuewei for reaching school as early as 6am to film the Flag off of the run.
